Think about

What could students learn on a farm that is hard to learn in a classroom?
What would a visit cost in time, travel and planning?
Could something else, such as a farmer visiting the school, work as well?

Trace a meal

Choose one lunchbox food and trace it back to where it was grown. List the people and places involved along the way.
Weigh it up

Before students choose a side, list what a farm visit would give students and what it would cost a school in time, travel and planning.
Plan for the objection

Ask students to name the strongest reason against their view and add a realistic answer to it.
