Are these spelling tests free?
Yes. Browse the test previews freely, then enter your school email, school and role to unlock all 12 NAPLAN practice tests, recorded audio and printable answer sheets. No payment or student account is needed. Spelling Boost has 41 tests and lists for each year level.
How do I run a spelling test with my class?
Choose a test and unlock free teacher access. Print an answer sheet or ask students to number a page for 25 questions (Years 3 and 5) or 30 questions (Years 7 and 9). Open classroom mode, play the audio questions, then work through the proofreading questions at your own pace.
Are these official NAPLAN spelling tests?
These are Spelling Boost NAPLAN practice tests assembled from historical NAPLAN spelling content. They mix questions from 2008–2016 with audio dictation and proofreading. They are practice resources, not complete official papers or a prediction of a NAPLAN result.
Can Writing Boost mark the handwritten answers?
The full Spelling Boost product supports handwritten spelling through QR paper, phone capture and uploaded pages. Teachers review the recognised answers before publishing results. Book a demo to see marking, the class Miss map, personal rematches and progress over time.
Does the free classroom player collect student work?
No. Students write on paper and you check the answers using the word list. The free player does not collect student names, responses or scores. Automated marking and class analytics are part of the full product.
