The public website and the signed-in learning platform have different controls. Check the actual activity and assistive technology a learner will use.
Using the website
Use the Skip to content link at the start of the page to move past the site navigation. FAQ questions are disclosure controls: focus a question and use Enter or Space to open it.
The website responds to smaller screens and browser zoom. Some product artwork illustrates a complete workspace at a reduced scale. For a readable walkthrough of writing and feedback, open the complete example rather than relying on the text inside a decorative illustration.
Forms can include a verification challenge. If a challenge or another control prevents you from sending a request, email support@writingboost.com.au with the request you were trying to make.
Classroom supports
When writing tools are on for a task, planning and word tools sit alongside the student’s draft, and Hear it back reads a selection or the whole piece, with adjustable pace and word highlighting.
Students can change how text looks across the student app: OpenDyslexic or Atkinson Hyperlegible letters, larger text, roomier spacing, and a cream, grey, blue or green page. The writing desk has its own text size, from 12 to 24 point. The app follows the device’s reduced-motion setting.
Students can also write on paper. Their teacher captures the work, checks and corrects the transcript and submits it for feedback. Agree how the student will read and act on that feedback as part of the lesson.
Spelling activities use audio and sentence context. Check the listening arrangement and the learner’s needs before assigning an activity. Ask the team about the specific task if audio, input or visual presentation creates a barrier.
Report a barrier
Contact support with the page address or activity, what you expected to happen and what happened instead. If useful, include your device, browser and assistive technology, plus whether the issue occurs with zoom enabled.
Tell us the information or task you need to access and the format or assistance that would help. Avoid sending passwords or identifying student work in the initial request; we can discuss a suitable way to investigate.
This page describes available supports and routes to help. It does not claim WCAG conformance or certification. If your school requires a formal accessibility statement, test report or a specific accommodation, discuss that requirement with us during evaluation.
