Bring a common sample
Choose an anonymised piece of writing and a single criterion for discussion. Give colleagues time to read independently and note evidence before comparing observations. Agree on what the sample shows and where the interpretation remains uncertain.
Leave with a teaching action
Use the discussion to identify one classroom strategy to try. Decide what evidence teachers will bring back and when the team will revisit it. Shared language becomes useful when it informs a specific teaching decision.
